Awesome pictures man, but you should put commas in between your tags so they can fall in with the other tags.

Interesting...is Turner running a 2013 model? It's missing the splitter and extra foglights, along with different and less aerodynamic mirrors, compared to the factory Z4M team.

Turner is running a modified version of the GT3 car, and the factory team is running the GTE car.

Ah, okay! I'd like to see on race day how similar (or not) the cars are in terms of lap times and side-by-side racing.

Well at the Roar the GTE had fastest laps of 1:46.877 and 1:46.977 and the GTD had a fastest lap of 1:49.249

TMS has a Z4 GT-D.... GT-D has different ruleset from the GT based on ACO rules

Great pics! Can't wait to be up there in a few weeks to watch the race.
Where were you for most of those shots? Inside turn 1 by the tunnel, shooting onto the infield?

Okay, that makes sense but to be clear here, they won't be running in the same class?

No, not the same class...
GT-D (from the Rolex Series of last year) and GT-LM (from the ACO-based ALMS of last year) are 2 separate classes, running the track at the same time since USCR (or is it USCS??) is the complete series from when Grand-Am (owned by NASCAR) bought out ALMS from Dr Panoz....
To be clear, it wasn't a unification but a buyout

I was semi-up-to-date about the merge between ALMS and Grand-Am but I never figured out all the classes. Thanks for the clarification!

glad I can help :)
remember though... It's not a merger...it's a takeover... subtle difference, but hard core racing fans get a lil pissy about it
